Who can submit

Made it?
Own it?

  • You recorded the song and wrote it, or your co-writers are in.
  • No label or distributor deal stops you licensing it yourself.
  • It has a clear guitar or bass part. That is what the game plays.

In a collecting society like IMRO, PRS, ASCAP or BMI? Submit anyway and tell us which. Some societies manage online rights for their members, and we want to do this properly.

Questions

Fair questions.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Not for artists, not for players.

So how does Fretline make money?

Short ads between songs. The gameplay itself is never behind a payment.

Is this early?

Yes. We are opening Fretline to a small first group of artists. The demo you can play today uses free-licensed tracks. Your songs are what comes next.

Do I need a YouTube video?

No. If you have one, we link it from your song page so players can find you.

Can I take my song down later?

Yes. Ask and it comes down.
